I Am an Idiot But That Is How I Learn I've always been the kind of person who makes mistakes. I'm not talking about small, inconsequential mistakes, like forgetting to turn off the lights when I leave the room. I'm talking about big, embarrassing mistakes, like the time I accidentally set my hair on fire in chemistry class. I used to think that my mistake-prone nature meant that I was stupid. I would beat myself up for not being able to do things as easily as other people seemed to. But over time, I've come to realize that my mistakes are actually a sign of intelligence.
